Catherine Walden

Catherine J. (C.J.) Walden, LSW, MPA, CLCP, is Executive Director of the American Amputee Foundation, Inc. (AAF). Employed by the Foundation since spring of 1991, she has worked with thousands of amputees and hundreds of Life Care Planning clients over the 12 years of her employment.

As Executive Director, C.J. oversees AAF’s mission of providing information, self-help literature, support, and referral to amputees throughout the nation. She visits with new amputees in area hospitals and has been instrumental in starting multiple amputee programs benefiting amputees during her time with AAF. She has worked as a volunteer with other individuals with disabilities such as cancer patients, seniors with dementia and other health problems, Special Olympics, and the Arkansas Disabled Sportsmen Association.

   
Kathy

Kathy Fleshman, BSW, is Associate Director of the American Amputee Foundation, Inc. (AAF). She began her tenure at AAF as our Social Work Intern in the Fall of 2005. She did such a great job that we wanted to keep her! She finished her degree in December of 2006 and has worked full time with the foundation since. In this position, she works with most of our amputee inquiries, manages our Central Arkansas Amputee Support Group, researches cost information for our Life Care Planning services, and works closely with our Life Care Planner.
